When we decided to renovated the condo, the decision was already made on the flooring. A friend of mine had shown me how great her wood tile flooring was at her beach home, and how much it looked like wood!! Real wood floors aren't an option, the humidity and amount of water is an issue. I wanted to make sure keep a light and airy look so it would increase the sense of space, so I wanted a lighter color. These are some of the pictures I pinned to help me remember the colors I liked. Click each one to see where the original pictures originated.
When I finally made it to the store, this is the color that I decided on.
I needed to see how it would look with my bathroom tile!
French wood Larch at Floor and Decor. I loved this and it seemed to be most similar to what I wanted. From my own research, I had found I should get the larger planks and the rectified edge. I also had discovered through the installation to always go with the darkest color in your tile for the grout.
Here's the sub flooring before the wood.
You can see how the lighting affects the lightness of the color.
So far I love it!!!
